fight it in court. try to schedule the court date on a day when the ticketing officer has a day off. on vacation would be the best. if the ticketing officer doesn't show up, you will automatically win. the work schedules of police officers are of public knowledge - you just have to ask for it.

also, try to schedule it out as far as possible. if the officer shows up and cannot remember the details of the violation, you will probably win.

it will also help if you come prepared. if the officer does show up, the judge tends to side with the officer.

if you were speeding, good luck! You shouldn't ever speed. Only emergency vehicles are allowed to speed. I don't care if you've got a woman ready to give birth, you are not an ambulance and nobody on the road has no idea what your emergency is.

Everybody who drives believes they are the only ones who can make up their own laws and get upset when those laws are used against them. What disturbs me is that so many people think that speeding is OK. Most of us are not in a hurry, only self-centered assholes drive fast. Ever notice those who speed are not going anywhere. I followed someone who was weaving in and out of traffic, speeding and ran a stop sign only to find them minutes later slowly getting out of their car in a private home's driveway.

I'd like to see anyone caught driving more than 20 mph over the speed limit get their license revoked for a month AND fined $500 minimum. Then watch how many egotistical *********** still speed.
The road is not a place to prove yourself, all you are proving is how big a jackass you are.

Bottom line is: you speed, you pay.

Were you speeding? If so, there is no way of getting out of it unless you were on your way to something that was an emergency.
If you had an emergency, then you can go to court to protest. If the judge sides with you, you will be free (happened to me once).
Oh, and there should be a court date on the ticket given to you. If you want to protest it just show up for court instead of paying the fine.

that's what we all think when we get a speeding ticket. who ever think they really deserve a speeding ticket or any other ticket? if you really didn't think you deserve one, well go to traffic court and try to fight it but i think it a waste of time. all you could do is attend traffic school and not get a moving violation point on your record and increase your insurance.

Fight it in court, bring proof (somehow) that you did not do it. Then be prepared to lose anyway since tickets make the court money they are rarely dismissed even if wrong.

Show up for the court date, bring evidence supporting your case and plead it to the judge. Even if you don't get the charges dropped, you can usually get a discounted rate.

don't say anything to the cop cause there's always a chance of getting in more trouble. life is not fair sometimes just let it go.
