There is a childrens farm near me which is very good as a lot of the school children are taken there. It is called St. Leonards Farm and is situated at Esholt Village inbetween Shipley and Guiseley just off Otley Road. It is near where Emmerdales' Woolpack pub was filmed.

Not sure if this is near you or not but my mum lives in Lancaster and when we visit she takes to a place called Docker Park Farm. It is the best place ever, there is loads to do and it's very hands on with the animals.
Ive tried to look it up on the net but found nothing but maybe as you live in that area (I'm in Scotland) it would be in your local directory, hope I've helped and I hope you get to visit it, it is soo worth it!!

there is a really good one near barnsley/sheffield cant remember what its called but it is right near a massive park with lakes n historical buildings really good day out 4 children of all ages loads to do
