why is it considered wrong to have sexual interourse until you reach a certain age even if you use protection?

Protection doesn't always work, and you need to be old enough and mature enough to deal with the consequences of your actions. Sex is a very serious connection with another person and you need to be able to communicate and deal with each other's emotions. It is not and should not be treated as lightly as a ride at the amusement park.

Because adolescent bodies are not physically ready to handle it even if it seems that they are (especially girls). Having sex too young can cause problems years later.
