Do you think you should be disabled to get a disability check? Some Vets are claiming disability just to get a second retirement...

In 2004 Bushed signed this law into act. This allows career military to receive a disablity check, and their retirement check and still work full time... In theory, this is ok, but many 40 year old retirees are sitting around trying to think of and get some documentation they have a disability..
...This bill is met for "service" related disabldities, however, The VET Ad. is giving this to women who get a hysterectomy, ect. and in my opinion are not properly screening these candidates...
Since this bill we have doubled the amount of military checks going out,,,.;;;and it is not for our soldiers in the WAR!

Yes. But I know many vets who got their disability by using a lawyer as well. As I stated before some people who got VA disability know how to work the system.
And I have worked as a VA nurse for over 20 years and am a veteran as well.

I am not a vet however I understand what you are saying. I heard you mention the physical disabilities however what about the mental strain these military personnel go through. You try living as if there were people constantly trying to kill you on a regular basis for long periods and then come back and become an active member of society, then you can form an opinion. I do think that social security needs an overhaul however the troops have gone through enough so lets not pick on them right now. How about the guys collecting welfare and sitting on the corners drinking 40's and playing basketball while I go to work everyday, pay taxes and social security, and wont be able to collect my ssi when I retire because there wont be enough money in my SSI account.

I have no theory. Christians bash the Pagans, yet do no longer hesitate to take part in Pagan trip journeys. Is it as low as 60%. I was under the impression that it was higher. We have a winner take all economy and those who are aged and infirm might as well die as far a the ruling powers are concerned.

I think that there are actually more disabled veterans going without any disability pay! I do not think it is being abused!

i think more people don't abuse it than do , i think that more people should be getting it than do. but with everything out there , there are people who abuse it .
