actually i have been taking the pill for about 9 months but about 2 months ago i started to only take the hormone pills because i am trying to avoid having my period on my wedding day. so all i did was start a new system of my own but i am still taking the same type of pills that the doctor prescribed to me 9 months ago.

Taking bc continuously ("straight") can increase your chances of having breakthrough simply because you're not letting your body do what it needs to do. Spotting isn't too too big of a deal once in a while because a lot of things can cause it - especially if you're on a new pill and your body hasn't adjusted yet.

However, because you say it's the majority of the time, I think you should definitely see your dr. The pill you're on might not be right for you, or you might not be a candidate for the continuous bc system. Good luck!

This is totally normal when you first start taking the pill. It's just your body's way of adjusting to the hormone. If you continue to spot after your 3rd month of being on the pill, you might want to talk to your doctor. He/She may need to prescribe a pill with a higher dose of hormones.

No not at all that is actually normal. Your body takes a while to get to used to any type of birth control that you are taking. Light spotting is normal, but if it becomes excessive or anything extreme contact your OBGYN.

It can sometimes take many months for your body to get used to the hormones.

Have a good day!
