I'm a naturalised American. But when I go back to Blighty to see family, I find something therapeutic about the shipping forecast & it's wonderful whacky names. Like Kareoke for the musically challenged "Dogger, Fisher, German bite - NorthWest, gale force 3 strengthening....etc."
