I have been on my BC pills for a few years but this month I have been missing pills and now my period has been on for 3 days. I was put on my BC pills to regulate my periods because without them I will not have a period! Therefore, is this a early symptoms of pregnancy. In the past I have missed pills and just quit taking them but my period never came on. I would have to see my DR and get provera to start my period again.....

Have you ever had sex?

Answer is yes - you might be pregnant.
Answer is no - you're not pregnant.

Get a home pregnancy test and find out. Don't wait. Don't be stupid. The sooner you know, the sooner you can start looking after your body.

Your boobs will be the biggest giveaway. If they get super-tender take a pregnancy test. If you miss a pill you shouldn't be having sex! You're probably not pregnant now, but don't do that again. Use an alternate form of protection. Perhaps you could consider Nuvaring? It's once a month contraception, no daily pills to remember, and you can totally not have periods at all if you choose. It's alot easier to remember to change nuvaring on the 1st day of every month than it is to take a pill at the same time every night! Or, the patch once a week, or the Depo shot.

It is important to NOT miss your pills. If you read the pamphlet that came with your BC it tells your right on there, that missing pills INCREASES your chance of getting pregnant and that if you miss pills you should USE A BACK UP FORM OF BIRTH CONTROL. However, to answer your question, no I don't think you're pregnant. I think that you missed pills and threw your cycle off track... it'll be a couple more days, maybe even a month before you get regulated. In the future, do your best not to miss your pills, if it's too hard to remember, try switching to something else (i.e. shot)

If you have a normal period when you are on the pill, you should then start to have a period if you stop taking the pill close enough to when your body thinks your period should be starting.

Obviously your body doesn't regulate your cycle properly so it could be possible that if you missed your pill, let's say, the week before your scheduled period then your body could be tricked into thinking it is time.

With such random cycle behavior, I wouldn't be too concerned with being pregnant.

If it is hard to remeber to take your pills, start using the shot it is alot less complicated because you go in every 3 months. Also it will stop your periods all together. Thing with having the shot is you can't have it for more than 2 years because you'll get Osteoporosis.

Get a quick pregnancy test. They're cheap or free if you go to a family planning clinic.

Go see your doctor. He will check you over, prescribe the best medicine for you and also determine if you are pregnant. Pops
