I've noticed that stores that are dedicated to Music Only are a dying breed.

Do you miss the experience of going to a real CD store and listening to music, shopping around, etc. or do you prefer just to burn your music at home?

I understand, it feels funny when you go to a music store and see nobody else but you and the cashier... WE'RE LOSING IT!!!

I d/l about all of my music, I only go and actually buy a real cd if it's an artist I love and I just must have the actual cd in hand. That turns out to be about 5 artists total.

I get all mine for free online so as far as shopping I like to do it online. But I also going to music stores to listen to music and check out all the neat things they have to offer as well. Music stores also have movies now these days which is cool.

I'd even stop buying books if they were more easily downloadable. I think the music store, book store and even the Blockbusters of the world are a dying breed.

Convenience plays to a mass market. Its like the downtown stores. In general, its a better experience, but sadly we seem to have a Wal*Mart mentality when it comes to commerce. Convenience and price win!

For me, I mostly shop on line for music (not downloading), because most record stores won't carry good records. I have a taste for older music, and it's hard to find in local shops, and even large chains.

At home, ever watch High fidelity, sometimes you just want to listen to one song, you should not feel like you are less of a person because of that!! Besides, stoners work at record stores...it looks like they are going to have to find a real job until the band gets picked up....booohooo

Yeah, the "record store" is dying alright. I do miss flipping through tons of cds/records. Yeah, online is faster & easier, but the fun factor is dead....

A little of both. I still like to go to places like Best Buy and Sam Goody and get things that I feel I have to have right now, but I like online for hard to find things.
