Oscar Wilde wrote it. It is where the verb "bunberrying" came from. When you see the play, (I recommend it. Its fun.), know a little about Oscar's own story, the play takes on more different effects. There is obviously some autobiographical stuff in it. It is touching. I'm a fan of his. In his autobiographical book,'De Profundus,' he says, " Iam not here to excuse my life, but to explain it."
'Importance of Being Earnest' is often put on in schools today, for it is only in 2 acts, it is funny, and it requires very little in the props department. Enjoy.
