My bias is in favor of football players. If you're gonna use your body as a battering ram, then I'd say, you deserve as much money as the NFL is willing to shell out! Because when it's all said and done, and a zillion or so surgies after the fact, you're gonna need as much money as you can get to pay off your medical bills!

If the athletes did not get that money, guess who would get it? you are right...the owners. The way i see it, the performers are the ones who the people come to see. They are willing to pay for their tickets so the tickets are not overpriced either.

People who complain that tickets cost too much should understand that everything in life costs too much for somebody. I want a Viper or Ferrari but they are priced too high for me. I cant go and tell the manufacturer to sell them for less so I can get one.

As for the players getting too much, hey the fans are willing to pay. Nobody is forcing them.

Do I wish i could afford to go to a few games a year...yes, but i cant and i dont complain. I would rather study to get a better job so i can afford those things.

thats my 2 Cents.

Pro athletes are always put down for making alot of money. But, after all, they are entertainers! No one rips Tom Cruise for making $25 million for being in a movie, or Madonna for charging $400 per concert ticket. This is capitalism where people get what the market will bare

No athlete is worth the money they are paid, and what about hockey those guys get hit harder with less pads, play on ice and play over 80 games a year compared to the 16 the NFL plays.

way over paid. People play sports for the love of the game. not the love of money or that's how it used to be. however, sporting events do generate alot of money someone has to get it why not the people that are putting their talent and bodies on the line. I would rather see them get it that some overstuffed "suit" somewhere in an office that noone wants to see do anything

I think they might be overpaid but blame it on the people who continue to purchase overpriced tickets and the owners.
