I work for a nationwide company/corporation (assisted living provider to be specific). I have worked there 8 months. Over this time, I have acquired the maximum amount of write-up's. My next write-up will undoubtedly lead to termination.

I could easily switch jobs but I am in the midst of receiving medical treatment via the company's insurance. I do not know the policy about switching providers in the middle of treatment, so to stay on the safe side, I would just rather stick with the provider I have. However, I do not have the job security that I would like because of these write-ups. If I were to switch to a different location within the company, would my write-ups be transferred as well? Ideally, this is a good option because I can keep my insurance and lose my write-ups.

If you have a better solution to my situation, please feel free to make alternate recommendations.

I also wanted to add that if I switched jobs, I would have to wait the traditional 90 days before getting insurance again.

I am not trying to switch positions, just switching to a different facility in a nearby city, but keeping the same job and title.

I work for a major corporation that is based nationwide in the HR department. To answer you question I simply say this - you have 1 personnel file within a company - switching to a different location or position will not insure that your personnel file with your write-ups will be ignored.

Our standard company policy goes if a employee is eligible for termination they are not permitted to obtain a new position within our company unless a substantial improvement is made within 1 calendar year.

The write ups are a part of your permanent employee file. These write ups will also make it hard for you to get another job if you are terminated from the company.

I would think the information would transfer. You would probably need a reference from the current employer to transfer...and I know most companies won't even let you transfer to another position within the company if you are on some type of warning.
