okay i used to use dictionary.com to get definition but every definition i use its wrong when ever we go over it in class. i need a definition, part of speech and a sentence for these words pallor..officious..tumult..even if u answer and give me one answer for one of the words thats fine

Pallor (noun) - unnatural lack of color in the skin (as from bruising or sickness or emotional distress)

ex- The pallor of his face made him look like a white tomato.

officious: (adjective) volunteering one's services where they are neither asked nor needed

tumult: (noun) disorderly agitation or milling about of a crowd usually with uproar and confusion of voices

Start using an ETYMOLOGICAL dictionary, there is free one online. It tells you the meaning AND where and when the word came from. It would be hard for the teacher to dispute it.
