no one really likes them except people with no lives since I have been home more due to cancer I have never seen so many stupid shows now csi I love them I look forward to watching csi I think this is the best show yet

I like CSI and Law & Order except for the gross stuff .. haha.
But yea I HATE reality shows except Laguna Beach & The Hills .. like Survivor & Fear Factor & stuff are sooo stupid. & most celebrity ones are reallllllly annoying.
I'm so sorry about your cancer tho .. I hope everything turns out ok ..

If you don't like something, don't watch it. That's how they figure out what is popular and what isn't, so then they make more idiotic shows.
I love CSI but I do think it's pretty gory at times. Oddly enough I don't have any problem watching those scenes, but the same type of scenes in any other tvshow or movie sends me out of the room immediately. I do think it's one of the last really good shows left because not only is it entertaining, it's fresh and original even with age, which most things anymore are not at any point.
I've skimmed through various reality shows out of morbid curiosity. Survivor I don't get at all. I watched one episode of Fear Factor and couldn't get those images out of my head months after even because it was so revolting.
Otherwise I don't see it (both tv and movies) as any different from other entertainment throughout history. In medieval times, you had gladiator games and jousting tournaments. In the old west, you had duels. In this day and age, people in general are simply numb to everything so directors and producers are looking for ways to push the envelope even more since there isn't much of anything left that can shock anyone anymore.

The problem with reality TV is that they're not coming out with anything interesting. I remember watching The Swan where the dog-ugly women were not just given plastic surgery to improve upon their obvious physical defficiencies, but also psychiatric help to boost their self-esteems. I don't know about the rest of you, but I for one would have liked to see the psychiatric stuff, especially after they all get depressed after the mangling of the plastic surgery.
SciFi Channel seems to be coming out with some decent reality TV. I only missed the pilot of Who Wants to Be a Superhero? and haven't missed a show since. (GO FEEDBACK!!!)

Well, if you're Canadian... If you get a call from a company called BBM Canada, AGREE TO PARTICIPATE. It's the only way in Canada you can count in the TV ratings. You count for 966 people in your area, but, have to give your address so they can mail it to you and your surname. The call is about 3 mins long. If they ask you a whole bunch of questions you got picked to have a box hooked up to your TV and you get PAID to do it.
It is not a scam. I've worked with the company for a year. You get $2 per household member as a thanks for doing it and they even pay the postage.
And they treat their employees REALLY REALLY bad. So be nice to them.

Truly sorry to hear of your cancer. I have never watched a reality show, never will. While they are topping the ratings, we will have them. As the market becomes saturated (it's close now), they will begin to go away. Probably American Idol will be around, it seems to be the most popular and one of the first. As I said, never watched it or any. Good luck, you will win !

Gee I beg to differ with you..Dancing with the stars is refreshing,I love Big Brother.Not all reality shows are for everyone.I have a very full life,but I enjoy a good laugh every once in a while.. your kiddin' csi is one of the most predictable show's on tv, I've become so bored with it, have you not noticed it also has followed the trend of reality shows with one spin off after another. sorry to hear about your cancer..

I can't stand the reality shows either but I think the vast majority of people do and that is why they keep coming back every year and also coming up with more reality shows.

lets face it, even if only the sad peole with no lives are the only ones who like it they clearly outnumber the unfortunate individuals who actually require good quality televisual entertainment like yourself.
The truth is; they no it sucks. But it makes SO much money
