Not to mention countless more on betting. But life is about living and enjoying it.

A hobby or a love of sports helps us to redirect our stress and problems, by following it.

100k pounds is a very reasonable sum for a lifetime of enjoyment.
Some people spend that money on cars, or splurge it on shopping for not really important things.

But the love of sports (football) can last you a lifetime, even when your old and lonely, you can always on the telly and watch a game. It gives you something to look forward to, everyday.

If being a hardcore fan costs 100,000 pounds, what does that make me,?i was at every home and away game including cup matches with Nottingham Forest from 1977-1996.Then moved to Dortmund Germany and fell in love with Borussia Dortmund, and have been to every home and away game including cup matches, and trust me i earn 36,000 pounds a year but my bank manager always wants to talk to me every month!ps i am not overdrawn,But he is a Dortmund Fan hisself.
From a loyal football fan since the age of 6.and even though i live in Germany,i still keep myself informed with the mighty reds.(shame about old big head Cloughie though)best regards from Germany

Waste of money? no, if I have the money I would be one of those lol those 90 minutes in the football pitch transport you to another world, if you have been to a football stadium you know this feeling, and I'm sure you would want to experience it over and over again and every experience is different, different fans, different cities, it's a great way to explore the world at the same time and get outside your norm

In monetary terms maybe but in real life it costs a lot more than that....marriages, families, birthdays, holidays. If they are really HARDCORE FOOTIE fans....jobs...because of being banged up for scrapping with the other team HARDCORE fans. Football is a mugs game, enjoy it when you can but don't let it ruin your life, it's only a game and besides ...real men have got balls of their own!!

Definitely not. There is nothing better than the feeling you get whilst watching a live football match (especially if your team wins)! And it is such a priceless feeling when you receive your personalised merchandise...PRICELESS!!!
