I consider myself pretty skinny, but, I'm 13, 5'1 and I weigh about 130 lbs. What do you guys think?

I consider myself pretty skinny, but, I'm 13, 5'1 and I weigh about 130 lbs. What do you guys think?

I think your weight is ok. But without knowing other details such as your frame size and how muscular you are, it's hard to say for certain. I'd say if you have a medium to large frame and/or are quite athletic, your weight is probably very good. If you have a small to medium frame and/or are not very athletic, then you might want to consider losing a few pounds and getting in better shape. HTH : )

Listen girl at 13 u shouldn't ask if u skinny or fat. I think u fine... U maybe not tall, but your weight is normal for u. If u 5'1 u have to be 120- 130 lbs, trust me i know. Don't worry so much about it or it will get to u and then u will have more problems. Good luck...

130 is probably not that bad a weight for 5'1" but you don't want to gain anymore at that height. A picture would help - how is the weight distributed? Really this is not that easy a question as you pose it.

Acccording to the Body Mass Index (BMI) the normal range is 18.5 - 24.9 and your weight and height give you a score of 24.6 so you are in the normal range.

Anyway at 13 you have a lot of growing to do so I wouldn't worry to much. Just try to keep your diet relatively healthy and get some moderate exercise and you'll be fine.

I think you are a little on the chubby side, but don't worry about it. Just get out there and do some exercises and eat healthy. Keep busy doing interesting things and meet interesting people and no one will notice you are 20 pounds overweight.

Well I did a a Teen BMI u can go to http://kidshealth.org/teen/question/dieting/weight_height.html if your interasted in seeing your bmi.
And it said that you are in the 90th percentile for your age/height and they have the weight range for your age and height should be 83 to 122

I don't know. Everyone is different. Im 16 ,5'2" and barely 100lbs. But I eat like a pig! God made everybody different. If YOU think you look good then Great!

your fine, a little meat is good. something to hold on to. no one wants to sleep next to a pile a bones!
