it depends on the size of your songs. a usual MP3 file with bitrate of 160 and 4 minutes lenght, would have a size of 4MB (approximately). so if you have 250 GB, you will have 250,000/4=62500 songs. see? but if you have your MP3s like 320 bitrate, then their size will increase ans so you will have less songs in your disk.

The capacity of the Hard Disk Drive being 250 Gb I have to say that the amount of songs that it can hold simply depends on the format of the songs that you have. This is to say that different song formats have different sizes. If you save the songs in ' .wav ' format it may take a very large amount of disk space per song.
If you save the same song in .mp3 format it will take lesser space.
I have about 1600. mp3 songs on my Hard Disk Drive. It took only about 7 Gb Disk space in total for this. So if you have a 250 Gb Disk space then it should take a heck of a whole lot more than 6200 songs if you save these under .mp3 format.
I am calculating ( 1600 took 7 Gb, 6400 is 1600 times 4 .
This means 7Gb times 4 is about 28 Gb. This means that about 28 - 30 Gb Disk space should allow you to save 6400 songs.
This is rather rough calculation but you can believe that 250 GB will hold a heck of a lot of songs.

it depends on what bit rate you are using. A typical mp3 song can take up anything between 5mb and 15mb depending on the bitrate (quality) used. As this is a huge difference it is impossible to give you any definitive answer but what we can say is that it will safely hold many , many thousands.

It depends on how big the music files are each...if each song is about 3MB, a 250GB drive can hold about 83,333 songs.
