GOD one hopes not!!!!! They said that every election I can remember for some time and have been consistently losing ground. I predict that at best they might gain a seat or two here or there, not enough to get control, and more than likely if the voters have ANY SENSE AT ALL they will lose more in the balance.

my instinct is to say no because they know all the problems, but have been out of power so long, have forgotten to come up with solutions, and for the most part, that does not get votes. i am surprised their campaign signs still have their own names on them, instead of "VOTE NOT BUSH". for years they have not said "vote for me because..." its always "vote against him because....."

on the other hand, i would be glad if they got power just to shut them up and put them to task. to finally see if they will do anything other than make my taxes go up. they have been critics and detractors so long, i hope they haven't forgotten how to work.

just hope they know some of our same tricks. will they mystically lower gas prices during election seasons?

They could if enough anti-Americans vote for them.
Democrats have sided with the enemy now for five
years. Why? They voted against the Patriot Act and
say terrible things like George Bush plotted the 911
instead of the Muslim terrorists. Bah Humbug. If
you like Jane Fonda and Nancy Pelosi and Ted
Kennedy, and Jesse Jackson, then vote Democratic.
You won't believe where they will take "America", and
you won't be proud.

If they step up their Bush-bashing instead of sticking to the issues, it just might work!

If that happens, get ready for for another catastrophe that will make 9/11 look like a weenie roast!

I pray to the gods that they don't. We can't survive another term of either the Republicans or Democrats in power.

Time for a chance. Think independently. Vote Libertarian.

I can GUARANTEE that they won't. The next congress is installed in January, 2007.

until they actually have ideas and tell the american people what those ideas are, they will never win back power. since 2000, i have not heard one liberal/democrat say anything of how they would correct problems in this country. whenever they've been asked what their plan is, they have no answer.
