I went for the Panasonic TUCTH100 and despite its unreliability and slow reaction to the remote control I love it.

It has an 80gb hard drive and twin digital tuners. Make sure whatever you get has the same.

The Panasonic range includes freeview. Try www.richersounds.com for a good price and location of your nearest store.

Depends on your TV and your budget !

If you have a large screen high quality TV ( they are very unforgiving about picture quality ) , and you can afford it, then get topfield.
If the above does not apply to you, then Fusion ( available at Dixon's ) is a good buy, make sure you get the twin tuner version.

Like most things in consumer electronics it all depends on your budget. Make sure you have at least two tuners and preferebly able to record two progs simultaneously. Also make sure you get a large hard drive.
