I recently split with my girlfriend,i gave up alot for her!!
I now see that it was never going to work in the first place,why did my brain stop working.??????

NO i really wasn't !! The sheets were very often dry.

I have been though the same thing myself, and i guess its just cos while you are with that person you really don't want to let them go so you agree to and do things that you would normal have said no to.
its just your emotions overriding your brain, but it all builds up and you eventually just see the relationship for what it really is and admit that it would never have worked .
hope you have better luck in the future and find someone that make you happy

Because human emotion is overwhelming. Here is an interesting fact. The chemical in your brain that causes you to love is released in many different ways. But everytime you have an orgasm a little bit is released. The person you are having sex with is the first person you normally see when this chemical is being released so you associate it with them. I think if there is a god he's a comedian because this sucks. It tricks people and makes them overlook alot of things. Damn body of ours
