WOuldn't it be cool to feel like the explorers did in the 1500-1600's,
but on a even greater scale, with the whole world following your exploits on 10-minute delay, just like "The Truman Show"?

Some of you guys said you would, but not
the first.....how do you think the pilgrims
and columbus fel? Some of the sailors with columbus had maps with dragons,
and maps with the ends of the earth mapped out. They expected to see monsters and strange worlds like El
Dorado. Now, excuse my french, but those folks had BALLS OF STEEL!

Ikyoto...excellent facts.....reminds me of
what happened to those guys that spent a year plus on the space station...couldn't walk...had to be carried around on a strecher for weeks...so weak did he get from zero gravity.......happens also when you get off a cruise ship in a minor way after a week(sea legs). Obviously they would have to take account of all that with the terraforming......maybe bubble pressurized-cities......only going out occasionally for a walk outside..very much reminds me of "logan's run"........They will
have to terraform Mars when we get to 10
billion or so around 2080. And it won't take
1000 years like some bonehead scientists
say. ...
(sea legs).

remember Elton john in rocket man?
"Mars ain't the kind of place to raise your
kids, in fact it's cold as hell, and there's no one there to raise them, If you did"...
funny how Queen Elton was one of the first
people to talk about terreforming Mars, and the VERY first in popular music....."
