Does anyone have experience of these kits - do they work?

The kits are pretty lame. Microdemabrasion is like using a 25 cent piece of rough grade sandpaper to rub off a foot callus and then spending $50 for a finer piece of sandpaper to "polish" up the site.

Microdermabrasion works. I buy a product from Avon call "Anew". You have to always remember to use a sunscreen because when the skin is exfoliated, the skin that is exposed is more vulnerable. Sunscreens are always a good idea and dermatologists recommend at least SPF 30.

The kits you get in the drug store will usually have a "scrub" and a moisturizer with SPF of 15. They're great, just use as directed. I only scrub for about a minute. When the skin starts to feel a bit raw that is when it is time to stop. If you continue past this point, your skin will end up red and blotchy and it could damage you skin. You can have another treatment in 24 hours and a good rule of thumb is three only in a row. Then give it a break for a few days.

Use a really good moisturizer at night as well because our skin renews itself overnight. Moisture also makes skin look younger.

Sounds like a few sheets of fine sandpaper might be best, if your skin is that bad.
No, don't spend loads on silly potions. A hot salty water bath will do wonders. Ignore the TV ads.
I jump into canals off the boat, ski in the briny, and haven't had a skin defect in years & years.
Stop worrying about it.

Arbonne International has has thermal fusion face mask. Much more inexpensive than other products and workslike a natural acid peel. It feels wonderful. Let me know if you'd like a sample.

The crystals are what make the difference. I have used some that worked well and others that were just too creamy. I wish I could tell you the brands but I don't recall. Sorry.

I have a friend who got one from Target for about $35-$40, and she loves hers. I think the instructions tell you how often to use it.
