It is shameful to be so conceded about America. We have some major ugly spots on our body politic and our battered history. WWII is not the history of the United States, the good or bad of it.

Will the Middle East continue arming so they can someday fight it out for real? Well the United States be so humiliated that it destroys our leadership ability in the world? The people who hate the military simply hate it. They don't think it's "fair" that we are so powerful when so many others are weak. Yet, we do not use our might to take over other countries. All we do is try to make people free to make their own choices.

Why anyone is against that is beyond me.
