Even when the ex was not evil at all?

On the contrary... I don't talk about my ex AT ALL.
Just thinking about it creeps me out...

A lot of men are still carrying the excess baggage of the last woman., If they are mature they wait until all the feeling they had are gone before starting a new one,. BUT....... you get some men who need someone to hear their problems and they need someone to tell them that it will get better. A mature man will not talk about their ex and visa versa because they should have learned from what ever happened and now know what to look for in a woman, when men or women hold on to the past you can be sure they will make life hell for whomever they go with next by comparing them to the other person.

LOL You didn't really think they would say the marriage fell apart because they are cheating, lying, worthless slobs did you? Men aren't very strong when it comes to being individuals...they follow the pack...the pack expects them to say bad things about the ex....it has something to do with ego and testosterone...you know the things that cause them to be as clueless as they are about everything else too! A woman would respect him for telling the truth, a group of guys would break out in a rash if they got too close to something like truth! LOL!

Because we hope by making the ex look bad will convince the new woman the problems in our past relationships (including the break-up) weren't our fault. It usually works to the point where the new woman is even referring to our ex as the "B*tch".

Well because it cant be their fault the relationship didn't work now could it. They always have to call the ex a psycho or something leaving out the part that they caused the psychotic behavior.

I've noticed men and women in general talk bad about their ex's - don't really get it, if it didn't work out just move on, unless they really were evil!!

Actually my Husband never talked about his ex to me at all in fact I gave her the benefit of the doubt when he and I were just seeing eachother no problems with her then when she found out we were serious and talking about getting married thats when she showed me her true colors but prior to this we had a decent relationship as far as the children but my husband never discussed his ex with me never had issues with her until we got serious.

Because some people think if they make someone else look bad it makes them look good. As long as the person who is listening realizes that it takes two people to make a relationship work and it also take two to make it fail. Only when one looks inside themselves and stop blaming others will they be able to move on.

Ironically, my boyfriend and his ex are the ones that cannot get alog.. I get along with both of them....their relationship or lack thereof was BOTH their faults...for different reasons. I actually am the peacemaker. I wish both of them would calm down and stop arguing over stuff....it is not good for their kids (two almost grown sons and one high school daughter).....I am the mediator, thats for sure.

To make his current girfriend feel like shes way better than the ex. Plus if he talks bad about her, it makes him look good for getting away from her.
