We just like to help. After all, isn't that the way knowledge is spread. "Mouth to mouth" or in our day and age...through the internet.

I think it is great to be able to help other people that you have no idea about...Race, religion, nationality, age, gender do not count here...it is just everyday people trying to help other people, regardless of who they are or where they come from. I would admit, however, it is addicting and I probably spend a lot more time doing this than my girlfriend thinks is reasonable, but hey, I ask questions, too...and I get a lot of helpful answers... the funny ones are good, too, and I must admit I just cannot resist giving a nonsense humorous answer sometimes as well... Thanks everybody, you people really make my day !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think your husband is wrong. Its just the opposites for some people. Cause you get a lot of answer's like I don't know or sorry I can't help you. Which I dislike the most. So you get some smart ones and you get some not so smart ones in here.

I am a director at a large technology company.

I use Yahoo to ask questions like the one I just asked, "What can I put on my new patterned concrete walkway in the winter that won't cause erosion?" and others, and if I am on Yahoo Answers and I see a question that piques my interest, I'll answer to help someone out, mostly. But only if I can add value.

Someone who's stuck at work, counting the minutes and just needs a temporary distraction, something to do to break the monotony & drudgery of a hellish job! I certainly don't think that I know it all! But I can express an opinion once in a while! :)

Im by no means a know it all... but I know some. I like to answer when I know and questions that appeal to my interst (mainly the psych). I work for a family business and at slow times this beats playing solitaire.

People who don't have a life?
I've just become bored with the game I've been playing since April. I guess it's time to buy a new one.
I also like to send up right-wing crazies. They're so serious.

I am actually a very sane individual. I dont spend much time on yahoo answers but try to help the best i can when i respond. It takes a moron to post questions normally but a brainy person to reply well.. So here I am. You are not a moron gladly :) This is a good question that i enjoyed answering. thanks!

Ask him what type of person wouldn't answer a yahoo question! Don't you just hate having a question answered with another?!
