The White Sox are still in the wildcard race and could still win the division. The have 3 remaining with the Tigers and a sweep could possibly vault them above the Tigers or put them right with the Tigers in the standings. It is not over for the White Sox. They end the season with a 3 game series at Minnesota. It is going to be a very interesting last couple of weeks.

No. I wouldn't necessarily say choke. They haven't been playing consistantly all year and if you want to watch a team that is describing the definition of choke, its detroit. And as of tonight they are only 3 out and 1 1/2 out of the wild card race with 3 games each against tigers, twins and indians. As far as not even making the playoffs the year after winning it all - at least its not like the marlins - going from world champs to last place in their division. You must be a silly cub fan.

Twins lost today and the White Sox are up 7-0 in the fourth, so barring a miracle the lead will be back down to 1 1/2. In addition, Liriano reinjured his elbow today, so it looks like he's probably done for the season for Minnesota.
If Detroit loses today, their lead on Chicago will only be 3, with a big series coming up in Chicago next week.
It ain't over yet.

It is a widely known fact that, after winning the World Series, no one has made it back to the World Series the following year. In the case of the Cubs, it's been 100 yewars, but still....

Looks like the white sox are slowly slipping out of contention, behind the twins and tigers. Maybe they should get Umpire doug eddings to go the rest of their games and blow calls in their favor, again. And why the cub fan hating? You must be poor, south-side trash. Typical. No wonder you find it difficult to spell the word "years".

I am not sure they are choking. In my estimation, last year was a freak year for the White Sox. In fact, I am surprised they have done as well as they have this season. They are a "good"all club, but not a great one.

There is still plenty of baseball left. The Sox are down 2.5 to the Twins in the wild card.
You must be a loser Cub fan!
