somebody gets reported everytime they have a opinion somebody else might not like im sure almost everybody on here has been reported atleast once or have had there names erased for something stupid
why are the rules on here so petty

How about every time you hit the abuse button it costs you points!! They would think twice if it cost 5 or 10 points!

i think it has to do with the number of complaints but i wish they would tell you why. like you got 20 insulting or something like that.
but the basic thing is, is that there is a very easy way to report and some people on here are just being mean and not actually asking real questions just trying to get a rise out of people.

Most people on here has "thin skin". You must walk on eggs shells or risk being reported and maybe even suspended. It's ridiculous for the most part. I think people abuse the flagging, if Yahoo wants to update Y!Answers, they should start with the reporting bandits.

actually i have been reported for the first time this week. i replied to the yahoo answers customer care. and i said i had not violated anything. my comment was removed. all i said was, "what do you mean by conservatives? you lost me."
that's all i said! and i was reported! give me a damned break! the answerer before me should have been reported. he called the guy an idiot and told him to never come on yahoo answers again! that is pretty "effed" up.
Question: Do CONservatives ever answer anything here or do they only parrot Fox news slogans?

I think some people go a little too far in what they say on here. I think the great aim of Yahoo! Answers is to just have an interesting forum of questions in a neutral setting.

I hate that too. They are too pu$$y to face them in real life so they report them just because they disagree on something. Instead of not being able to get points when your answer is voted as best, Yahoo! should have concentrated more on changing pointless reporting.

Part is that people here are easily offended.
Another is that they do not read the questions thoroughly, so if they see a word like "stupid", they consider it an insult and down you go.
Some folks just like to stir up the animals.

Some people say really vulgar things. Then they should b reported. If it is because the asker is doesn't like they're opinion, y did they ask the question?

so yahoo doesnt get sued for supporting racist and other hate groups who like to write their comments...but most reports are for something much more petty than that, i got reported for writing 'poo' and then asking the question what are you talking about? i just reported them back....
