How bad were the stretch marks you got when you were pregnant? Where were they located? I know every woman and pregnancy is different but I would love to hear all of your answers. Also is there anything that can help with reducing the chance of stretch marks.
Thanks.

Mine were dark & deep on my thighs. Mostly on the inside of my thighs & where my "saddlebags" would be. I was a small girl. I weighed about 125 before my pregnancy started. I was 210 by the end. So I kind of deserved the stretch marks. I had 2 very small ones, silver in color, on my lower tummy. Thats it. Nothing seemed to help prevent or cure them. I tried everything. Time is the only thing that faded them eventually. Best of luck to you. My advice is to watch what you eat. Don't pig out like I did. I've heard that your diet has a lot to do with the stretch marks that you have. Genetics too.

I had a ton of stretch marks. With my first pregnancy they were all below my belly button. They were red at first but faded to the silvery color several months after delivery. I foolishly assumed that the same stetch marks would just open up again with my second pregnancy but that is not the case. Now all of the marks are above my belly button. My husband keeps telling me that I hardly have any this time, but think he is just trying to make me feel better as I am not happy about it. I dont think there is anything that helps prevent them. I did the cocobutter cream for my first pregnancy and swear that using the cream made them happen since I did not have any till using the cream. I did not bother this time around. I read in one of the pregnancy books that if your mother had stretech marks then you probalby will too. I dont know why some people are lucky enough not to get them? My sister in law was pregnant with twins and did not have one mark?

This has worked for me & I am currently at the end of my 3rd pregnancy. It is called Palmers Cocoa Butter & it comes in a little tub. It is actually like a butter - kinda greasy, but it WORKS!!! I put it on EVERY DAY IMMEDIATELY after I take my shower. You just put it all over your belly & dont forget your rear-end! I didn't think about that with my 1st pregnancy & that is THE ONLY place i have any stretch marks is on my butt! It's funny you mentioned this because I went in for my 39 week exam yesterday & my doctor commented on how nice my belly looked & how amazed he was that I was so big & NO STRETCH MARKS! Best of luck

I prevented stretch marks using Palmers cocoa butter and a Clarins oil for stretch mark prevention (I forgot the title, but any clarins counter can help). Afterwards, I continued to use the Clarins oil and supplemented with Mustela's stretch mark cream.

During my pregnancy, I didn't get any stretch marks. and I gained about 48 lbs.....After the baby and losing the weight, I did get a few stretch marks on the lower abdomen - but they're very faint and you can barely tell.

These days Strivectin is the cure for stretchmarks!

I got them on my lower tummy, and actually on my private area. I think the reason for that was my baby had a HUGE head. She still does. But I didn't use anything for my first pregnancy's.(everyone said nothing really works) But this time I am using Cocoa Butter. I love the smell, and it is a really thick lotion. Even if it does not work at least my skin will be soft and smell good right? Good luck and congratulations!!

I didn't get any stretchies on my abdomen but I did on my breasts during the initial engorgement period after birth. They mostly faded on their own after my first daughter. I am 8 months post with my second daughter and I am still breastfeeding so they are pretty clear yet. I've hear Palmers stretch mark cream works great. DURING pregnancy keeping your skin lotioned will help some, but stretchmarks are genetic, so if you are going to get them, you are going to get them. Good luck!

Honestly I was lucky not to get them but at the same time my children werent full term. I was told by a friend Im not sure how true it was but I tried it and I guess it worked, as your belly grows it gets itchy I was told not to itch instead get a cocoa butter stick and rub it on your tummy when it itches this way your soothing the itch and not scratching and streching the skin more, Hope this helps
