I have to agree with you. It's bad enough when you get smart_ss answers, stuff like that just gets on my nerves. When I see a question that is just too retarded to warrant an answer, I just don't answer it. I know I can get my two points answering good questions so I just ignore the dumb ones. And gaming for points is against the rules anyway so I believe it's only a matter of time before those people rack up enough violations to get kicked out. Here's hoping! Take care.

I do but I get more frustrated with a lot of the stupid, pointless questions to be honest - and no, I'm NOT pointing the finger at you. Nothing you can do about it though. How about people who post answers after lots of people have ALREADY given them the right answer? What's the point of THAT? I never bother if I can see someone's already given a right answer even at the expense of the 2 points. I think if when a post/answer is rated that can raise or lower someone's points by the same amount, that would put people off posting ridiculous/offensive/pointless answers but then it would leave the thing open to cheats so you can't win.
Whether Yahoo should ban them or not, I'm afraid that's up to Yahoo to decide. You can always report them if you want provided you have good reason. I've reported a few offensive/racist questions myself, as well as some replies. Don't know whether or not anything was done about it though.
Anyway smile and move on. Not worth getting stressed about really, is it? Life's too short as I always say. :)

It's very annoying but some of the questions are time wasting and need to be give a crap answer, as well I also noticed that some people are not even bothering to leave an answer whats the point. I'm sure Yahoo will come up with something

ignore them like I do and move on. maybe they are having fun, and I think that it is mostly what this is here for anyways. Sorry if it it makes you mad. I just thought I would help you to deal with it like the rest of us do. I don't think they should be banned. I might have a short anwser sometimes but that doesn't mean I should get reported. And by the way I am not a point getter my goal is to get th 10 points for best answer always, the 2 don't matter to me.

Two points - ta, ducks! But seriously...they know they do not need to compose any answer (maybe they have not enough brain cells to think of one - and the ones who just write anything that comes to their wee heads...who knows) - and so to get to another level, all they need to do is write the lazy two words - or nonsensical 20 to get there.
Yahoo should put the kybosh on such dears...but there's always people who will get around it! As the Mancunian tell us...smile and move on - why get vexed about them?

Yes I agree. Sometimes I answer Yes or No but most the time I take the time to add more. Like Yes I do or no I don't. You would think saying 2 points would be cause to be suspended. That isn't a answer.

There's 2 kinds of question; the flip ones that ask for flip answers and the serious and genuine ones.
As long as you answer each type of question " the right way" you're not being a time waster.
Saying "Thanks for the 2 points" is a stupid waste of time and effort; but not in the opinions of those who do it.

You're worried about the people answering the questions, but have you read some of the questions that are being asked? They're just giving away the points with some of them.

You can report for point gaming, and yahoo is working on a way to prevent people from putting messages like "thanks for the 2 points" in here. On the other hand, who really cares? Does it in some way diminsh your quality of life because someone else wants points on yahoo answers? Are you really that bored?

I'm not a fan of point grabbers either but there is not much you, me or anyone else can do because Yahoo does whatever it wants to do.
