It won't affect your salary. They get paid directly by the employer.

headhunters are contracted by the employer. the contracts vary.

many contain a fee of a percentage of the first year salary paid for the job. Some may be a fixed fee or a fixed fee and expenses with a bonus for success.

Most major corporations use headhunters for management or professional positions. companies expect that acquiring new employees will cost money and headhunters are budgeted as a personnel expense.

the starting salary is not affected by this expense. You may work with the headhunter and not worry about who pays the fee. It is the employer.

The headhunter gets a % of your starting salary so it is to their advantage to try to get you the highest salary possible. Their commissions will never decrease your salary.

They receive a one time fee and it is paid by the company. I do not think it will affect your salary.
