Internet Explorer is not a search engine, it is a web/internet browser.

Google is an example of a search engine (a very good one too). Here's a listing.

Most Popular (Recommended):
Google ( http://www.google.com )
Yahoo ( http://www.yahoo.com )
MSN ( http://www.msn.com )

Alternatives (Strongly Consider)
Ask Jeeves ( http://www.ask.com )
All The Web ( http://www.alltheweb.com )
AOL Search ( http://search.aol.com )
HotBot ( http://www.hotbot.com )
Alta Vista ( http://www.altavista.com )

If you're looking for a web browser, there's several browsers available out there that are free. Example of these are; Netscape, Firefox, MyIE. Try using google to search for these browsers, you should find a link to download them if this is what you're looking for.

Hope this helps.

If you mean search engines, there's always Yahoo!, Google, Ask, Dogpile, and a host of others.

If you mean programs like Internet Explorer, there are Firefox, Opera, K-Meleon (Windows only), Safari (Mac only), or Konqueror (Linux only).
