Someone told me that Germany people aren't caucasian (white) because they have black hair. Who agree with me this make no sense? I thought it was Slavic (or eastern european) people that have black hair and they're definitely white as they could get.

I thought race was more about skin color than hair color.

So I would like to see if others think hair color determine which race the person are.

I know germany people can have black hair and almost all european descent can have hair of any color. However I was wondering who else thought that hair color determine the race of person. To me hair color doesn't do a thing, black person could have a blond hair and blue eyes but I would still think they're black. Same with white people who have black hair and brown eyes.

There are 4 racial types plus all the mixtures.
Caucasian, *******, Mogoloid & Semite. Each has a different hair type (although not neccesarily color). So color of eyes or hair doesn't mean you are one race or another. People from India are usually very dark skinned but are not ******. Some Arabs have blue or green eyes & light brown hair but are not caucasian, they're Semites. Etc., Etc,.
Not all Germans have Black hair. It kinda depends. When I lived there for 4 years, most of the people in West Germany were darker haired & most of the ones in the eastern part tended to be blond & blue-eyed. So your friend has given you erroneous information all the way around.

Hitler wanted the world to be filled with tall, blue eyed, blond hair people. Scottish folklore or superstition says that a baby born with black hair is a curse. I don't think it is a race issue but one of ignorance, but then again most racism comes from ignorance. Human nature I guess.

Just the same as Canadians and Americans have red, black, brown, and blonde hair and are yet still white (caucasian) so would the same apply to other nations. And German people are white people.

you were talking to an idiot,
Different regions of the world use the term in different ways. In the United States, Caucasian is currently used primarily as a distinction loosely based on skin color alone for a group commonly referred to as White Americans, as defined by the American government and Census Bureau. In Europe, "Caucasian" refers exclusively to people who are from the Caucasus.

The term itself originated as one of the racial categories recognised by 19th century craniology, and is derived from the region of the Caucasus mountains, itself imagined to be the location from which Noah's son Japheth, traditional Biblical ancestor of the Europeans, established his tribe prior to its migration into Europe.

what you have to understand that TRUE whiteness or caucasian lack pigment of ANY kind hence Blonde Blue eyeds.
Dark hair and dark features suggest that your ancestors were moorish or african hence your not completely white.

That is what is meant, I dont think its DEFINE you, however it does DEFINE genetics and regions and so forth.

for instance:
Some one blond and blue eyed, will have no HISTORY whatsoever of ANYTHING blood related that is African.

ANYONE with dark features eyes, hair, nipples, etc... Has charcteristics of the original man which is African.

good question
