You are just having a big baby. The smaller you are the bigger you are when my mom had me she weigh 125 before she got pregnant and at the end she weighed 168 so that tells you something right there. I came out 7 pound and 11 ounces.

AWWE honey, your just a little thing that's all, you all baby! Every woman carried different. If your doctor says you are on the right track than don't worry about it. You may feel like a house right now cause you are so tiny. There isn't any fat for that baby to hide in. Be proud momma! Eat healthy and enjoy this experience!
Good luck and congrats!

watch what ur eating. u r not eating for two dont believe that crap. and when ur pregnant u still have to stay active, just dont eat and sit around! eat healthy foods not junk food all the time. u can treat urself to some junk foods but not alot. and u could be retaining salt which is making u gain alot of water. i gained alot up to my sixth month because of the salt thing. after i started watching what i ate the weight wasnt piling on like it use too.
but after my sixth month most of weight has been the baby. ive gained 38 pounds so far and im 35 wks. i was 112 at the beginnng and now im 150! its a shock to see the scale go up that high but ur pregnant not fat!

It could be that you just seem big because you are tiny. The baby has to go somewhere. So, if you are not tall and not wide it only has the direction forward to go. People told me I would have a big baby because they thought I was big with my first baby, but it was just water weight and mommy pregnancy weight...she turned out to be a small baby.

Everyone always says that *rolls eyes* I know how annoying it is, I was 110 lbs when I concieved my first child and all I heard through my entire pregnancy was "wow! that is going to be a big baby!" She was born at 38 weeks, 6 lbs 8 oz, so she was a bitty one. I just think in comparison with a small body the belly looks bigger. Who knows! Good luck to you!

If you're thin to begin with you have nothing to hide your lump. I wasn't overweight but was on the bigger side of normal and people kept telling me YOU'RE ALREADY FIVE MONTHS? YOU'RE SO TINY! But really I think I just didn't have a big round belly, I was just thicker around my middle.

If you're tall the baby can spread out up and down, but if you're short the baby has nowhere to go but out. I wouldn't worry about it. Get some cute maternity clothes.

You probably aren't as big as people are making you out to be. Have you gained the amount of weight your doctor recommends? If he/she wants you to slow your weight gain, try to eat really healthy. If you are doing everything correctly according to your doctor, don't let other people get you down.

Family can be mean to a pregnant woman without meaning to. I was so proud of myself for only gaining 20 pounds with my first daughter, just as the doctor told me to. Then I showed my grandmother a picture of myself when I was pregnant, and she said, "You got really big during your pregnancy." She probably didn't mean to hurt my feelings, she was just saying what came to her head. I think family members aren't as discriminating with what they say because they figure you won't care the way a stranger would.

You are probably very petite and so a big baby belly might look huge on your small frame. Don't worry, as long as you are taking care of yourself, it doesn't matter what anyone says.

In my first pregnancy I gained weight everywhere, my arms, legs, face, butt, and the baby looked proportionate to the rest of me. My second pregnancy I only gained weight in the belly and also looked huge because all my weight was out in front. Each pregnancy is different, so don't worry what people say, they can be so ignorant of your feelings.

Seems you have a small frame to being with so any kind of altercation to you phycially would show even more than if a woman was a little on the heavy side. I wouldnt worry unless the dr. does.
Good luck.

everyones body's are different. By chance are you having a boy? I was 125lbs when I got pregnant with my girls. Now I am 146lbs at 20 weeks with a boy. Everyone insists its "because boys are bigger" But I do not totally believe theory's. I just really believe that every pregnancy and every body is different.

congratulations
