Of course, you are not covered during the time the policy is not in place.

Once the policy goes into effect, it depends if they consider your pregnancy a pre-condition and exempt from coverage or not.

I don't know if they will pay for pre-existing pregnancy. Most insurance companies won't. If your from the US I would check with the state to see if you can at least get the baby covered. I think most states have some type of insurance for children. Good luck.

There's too many variables to determine. The best bet is to call your new insurance company and ask. Sometimes they consider it a pre-existing condition. Sometimes if you are simply changing policies because your company changed, then they will cover you without any questions asked. Like I said, give them a call if you want a true answer.

Most insurance companies have a clause:

No pre-existing conditions

that would include pregnancy.

Look into getting maternity insurance seperately or go to the health department in your area and request medicaid.

It depends....in some states pregnancy can not be considered a pre-existing condition it is classified as an illness. You need to call the department of insurance in your state and find out.

No. Insurance coverage is only available if you conceive after the effective start date of the policy.
