I live in the midwest, and my middle-class home was priced at $62,000 for 2 bedrooms, 1 bath, large livingroom, dining room, kitchen, laundry room, attached garage and a large, fenced lot. My house is right in front of a small river that runs through my city, and the neighbors are great!

In the Phoenix Arizona area:
a 1970's 3 bedroom house will cost you about $200,000 (1,500 sq ft). 1/4-1/3 acre lots. Most are block construction and need minimal exterior work.
AC is not efficient in these houses.
a modern (1996 or newer) 3 bedroom house will cost you $300,000 (1,500-2,000 sq ft). 1/6 acre lots.
These are much more efficient than the older homes.
the newer homes are as much as 50 miles away from the city center.

I live in Cardiff S.Wales U.K at the moment 3 bedroom house over £120.000 upwards town or bay same for a flat one bed just depends where and what you want

depends what yr after but a back to back is around £110k i own a 4 bed semi just had it valued at £189 (bought it for £68 but have extended) new builds are around £220 depending on the size scary isnt it

my house here in israel has 3 bedrooms ,2 bathrooms.sun upper deck.lounge and kitchen in 1.at the hefty price of 350,000.u.s.a.dollars.because israel is so tiny ,its a luxury to live in your own home and not a building complex.from mikhal in isael.
