Dear all, has anyone experienced a burning sensation plus pain in your lower abdomen? It is as though it came from the cervix and it gets worse when u put pressure on it...? sometimes it hurts and burns down there as well. What can it be? thanks

It sounds to me like you could have PID (Pelvic Inflammatory Disease). The symptoms sound about right, and it comes from having an std and never knowing or doing anything about it. That could be why you have burning down there as well. It can also come from having a tampon in too long. Is there still one in there? Hey, it happens. It doesn't make you nasty. It could also be a urinary tract infection. That burns really badly. Do you have to pee constantly and then nothing comes out and it burns?
But if you do have PID, it's life-threatening and you could die. Please see a doctor right away. Good luck!

Call your doctor. This could just be a bladder infection and needs to be treated. Obstetrician's are used to all kind of questions and sometimes they have a nurse who just answers questions. If it is a first time pregnancy you may have all kind of questions for the doctor never feel silly about calling them

it's probably a UTI, i've had that and ignored it until i was bleeding and couldn't ignore it anymore.....as soon as the dr. gave me anitibiotics i felt so much better. go to the dr asap!
