I have heard of a "Cinderella Project" that gives dresses to "underprivileged" girls. I want to volunteer to help. I sew and can tailor. I live near Tulsa , OK Any contacts or ideas?

That is such a great idea! You should call the local high-school. Even of there is no organized project in your area, you should still volunteer your services. Start something, and maybe you can get more volunteers to help! Maybe the high-school has a way to post your information around. Also, you should call your local town call, they are sometimes kept abreast of local charities and projects. Regardless, I wish you lots of luck! I really admire what you are doing.

Try the local Shriners Club. If they can't direct you to the right person they could at least give ya a funny hat.

i would contact a few of the nearby high schools to see if there are any projects like that in your area. also call a women's shelter since there may be girls living there too or thy may be able to refer you somewhere.

try the pta at the local high schools
try the student union, or its equivalent
try local churches/religious organisations; they often know who is in need
