Iraq has nothing to do with the war on terror. Bush himself has said so. Iraq was invaded because Bush and Blair decided that Saddam had 'weapons of mass destruction'. We now know that there were no such weapons in Iraq. We also know that the UN inspectorate told them that it was unlikely before they went in.
So what are they doing in Iraq?

That is rediculous. There are always going to be people who hate america. Even americans hate this country. Bush is using Iraq as an excuse. It has nothing to do with the terrorists. He knows where they are. There are satelites all over and they can see what you are doing standing outside of your house. How is it that they can't find Osama Bin Laden? Bush is afraid of what Osama will tell "his" people about Bush financing his cause among other things. Terrorists will always be after us. Remember the Oklahoma bombing? They were american. Bush is an idiot and as long as people stand behind him, the people in this country will be considered as idiots too.

I'm a Bush critic, and I think the invasion was a showcase of poor judgement and poor insight into local conditions (how the Iraqis would react, for one). But I don't think the U.S. should cut and run. You made your bed, now lie in it.

What I'd like to see is a serious attempt to get the U.N. involved, and to do this Bush has to be willing to cede authority to it. The point of this is, only then will other Arab/Muslim nations participate. And I think Iraqis will respond differently to U.N. troops from Muslim countries than U.S. troops. Imagine how Americans would react if they were liberated from oppression by French troops, who then stayed to keep the peace. And they are your allies.

Lessen the troop contingent in Iraq and let the Iraqi troops take the reigns. Move the rest of the troops to the Afghan/Pakistan border. Then tell Pakistan to do something about it or were coming into their tribal areas and we will destroy them ourselves.

The reason to get out of Iraq is to leave them settle a never ending civil war that has gone on for ever and will keep going on.
THEY DON'T WANT ARE HELP AND WE SHOULD RESPECT THERE DEFCISION for them to kill each other if that's the way of there world.and leave.

*Sigh* Wish we could pull out be we are in way too deep. The Iraqi state still can't maintain itself on it's own, we need to stabilize it first... and then... we can finally leave.
