With the change of quarterback and the injury to Adrian "All Day" Peterson, the Vikings chances have gone down a lot. When I saw this game on the schedule, I thought the Vikings would win this won easily. The Panther offense has impressed me without star widout Steve Smith. If they play like they have and Smith gives a big contribution, then the sky is the limit for the Panthers.I'd still take the Cowboys, Packers, Eagles, and Giants ahead of them. I think the Panthers will win this 28-14.

I like the Panthers. They are going to be mad after stinking the joint out against the Falcons. Vikings had a nice win in Washington on Mon night but the Panthers are better. Carolina wins 21-10.

G'day Oblivian08,
Thanks for your question.
I tip Charlotte to win given the strength of the team but a Vikings victory is definitely possible on this years form.
The Vikings got off to a good start defeating the Washington Redskins 19-16. Brad Childress has gotten off to a good start with an emphasis on disciplined play. The defence worked well allowing one touchdown. Quarterback Brad Johnson got the game ball but there is room for improvement. However, Vikings fans would have renewed hope.
Charlotte however had a loss 20-6 to Atlanta. Kris Jenkins of the Panthers said "They kicked our butts". Further the team missed Steve Smith and lost Travelle Wharton and Dan Morgan. They need to get their act together soon if they are to live up to the hype.

The Vikings will surprise many people by getting better with each game, Carolina as a whole will be lucky to get to 9-7, very over-rated team. Vikings by 10.

Based on the bounce back theory that is often applicable to horse racing (i.e. trip handicapping), Carolina should trounce the Vikings.
