okay i used to use dictionary.com to get definition but every definition i use its wrong when ever we go over it in class. i need a definition, part of speech and a sentence for these words ...vainly..quiver..decorous...interpose...strident..clamor..pallor..officious...tumult..nimble..festoon..tendril..inscrutable..barb..bewilder..opalescence..croon..opaque..mimicry...and bristle ...even if u answer and give me one answer for one of the words thats fine

vainly - adverb, describes a verb. Root word is vain meaning obsessed with beauty or superficiality

She acted vainly by looking in the mirror every time she got a chance.

quiver - can ve a verb or a noun. Quiver -( v. ) to shake uncontrollably; a twitch. Quiver (n.) - a long container used by hunters to hold arrows

She quivered with delight as he touched her face. (this one is kind of explicit so i wouldnt use it in class)
The horse's legs quivered with nervousness before the race.

decorous - adjective - means characterized by dignity in conduct or appearance.

The princess was decorous at her coming-out party.

bristle - noun- bristle (n) is a coarse hair like on a hog or similar to hair like a hog's hair

She brushed her hair with a stiff bristle brush.

vainly (adv.) without success e.g. He shouted after them, vainly trying to attract their attention.

quiver (v.) to shake slightly because you are angry, upset, or anxious e.g The girl quivered with fear.
