Im building a PC for creating music and playing games. I was wondering if anyone has a PC with PC8000 1000Mhz RAM and if they do, whether it is worth the extra hundreds of pounds over PC6400 800Mhz RAM? Plus why is it so hard to find a motherboard that will support PC8000?

Im always an advocate of having faster RAM and less of it rather than slower RAM and more of it.

Its probably hard to find because it's a newer product. It will be great for gaming and creating music. Find what motherboards you are able to use and then look on Ebay!

Abit and ASUS both have a few 1000Mhz boards.

I all of your components support the faster FSB then it can be much faster. Make sure you have the 1000Mhz FSB motherboard and a 1000Mhz compatible processor, and the Ram will help. If your FSB is at 800Mhz then the faster ram wont make any difference.
