Anything you haven't used within the past few years. Books you have read or not. Spare kitchen appliances, clothing that is no longer in style or doesn't fit.

Tools go quickly, cameras slowly, anything priced at ten cents or a quarter will sell just so the customer doesn't leave empty handed.

Have plenty of change on hand as well as a wad of ones, fives, a few tens and a twenty. A lot of time they will say yes if you can change a twenty or hopefully a hundred.

Electronics sell quickly if they work. Art and brick-a-bracks sell easily as somebody will always have a use for junk/

Good luck.

Depending on where you live, any unused tools can be very popular. I live in Texas, and some of the local day laborers snapped up the ones we offered, with a minimum of haggling.

BABY and KIDS' clothing, if you've got them, are great things to advertise. No personal experience on this one, thank the gods, but the way kids outgrow stuff, I can imagine yardsale finds are a blessing for parents. If you're in a position to rid yourself of plus-size clothing, you may also want to mention that fact - as a big girl m'self, I wouldn't even bother looking at the clothing rack at a yard sale otherwise.

Don't bother too much with furniture or anything like that. Folks who are looking to buy furniture at yard sales will probably try and haggle you down to the point where you'd see more benefit from it as a charitable donation and tax write-off.

Anything in your house you don't want anymore, don't use or didn't even remember you had. Clothes you don't wear or don't fit any more, movies you dont' watch anymore, books you've already read. Pots/pans you have extra, pictures, etc. Almost anything. That's the fun of yard sales is to find something you want you didn't even know you needed! lol. Good luck!

clothes, old tools, kitchen stuff you dont use, basically walk in each room, open up every drawer or cabinet, if you dont use it try to sell it. Just because you think its junk, some one else may want it. Then after your sale is over donate left overs to a local charity, dont forget to get a receipt for a tax write off..

SE:: YOUR TV! Everything on TV is junk anyways and you can get free books and newspapers at the library. And with all the free time you have not staring at the idiot box you could do something productive like help old people or write a book or run a marathon. Or you could help me learn how to spell

EVERYTHING! Honestly anything you don't want, put it out. You'll be surprised what people will buy...from clothes to old bent nails, I've seen it happen. And heck if they don't buy it, you can always junk it later.

I had a sale not long ago. Put out: books, old makeup, perfume, posters, odd plates & glasses, pictures, old frames, old curtains, rods, tools.
