Do you have any personal folkways that you would like to share?
I have a small research paper for my social & cultural class and i need to do some reasearch on different peoples examples of Folkways, and i thought i would be better and eaiser to ask everybody at once.
and if you don't know what a folkway is- here is the def.

In western culture, folkways include wearing gender-appropriate clothing, respecting the privacy of strangers, and eating food with the proper utensil.
Also, wear somber clothes to funerals, wear formal clothes to church, say please and thank you and hello and excuse me.

an example of a folkway in sociology might be... like how a crowd of people might line up single file to wait for something where no signs are posted to do so, and they were not told...? Maybe? Its hard to think of an example and not confuse it with custom or ettiquette.
