Semi-formal clothing...i might take it as no longer great dressy yet no longer informal the two. you would be able to make a relaxing invitation and say some thing like.."SEMI-FORMAL, men get out your ties and girls...etc". some thing like that. on the invitation you additionally can positioned a lovable cartoony image of a guy wearing a in shape and a image of a woman wearing a lovable gown (some thing like the link you have there) so human beings could have an thought. satisfied candy sixteen.

Typically Semi Formal refers to the type of dress for both men and women. "The term semi-formal is strictly used to refer to Black tie-related dress code for events[1]. This indicates Black tie for men, and an Evening gown for women."

"An evening gown or gown is the general name given to a lady's dress worn to a formal affair. Wedding - Bridesmaid in long gown
It corresponds to men's formal wear for white tie and black tie events. Gowns are worn by members of a wedding party, by guests at formal evening weddings, for diplomatic events such as state dinners, and other formal events including debutante cotillions, proms, charity balls, art premiers, the opening of opera and ballet seasons, and many award ceremonies."

So basically a nice evening dress or formal would be appropriate. Think Pretty women and the red dress and jewelry she wore to the restaurant

Do you have a picture of this dress, it sounds beautiful.

I would say yes, depending upon what the rest of your party is wearing. A semi formal restaurant encourages dressing up, but doesn't require it, IMO.

I think semi formal is the minimum standard for dining there so you should be OK, especially if it is a special occasion.

Most resturants only condemn men who dress less than semi formal, as with ladies garments how does one discern between the issues. As long as your privates are covered, you can get in just about anywhere.

And if you go nude, then you are assured of entry.

It would be a little "overdressed" but would be considered appropriate. I have been to places where semi formal required and wore a longer dress and been fine.
