Why don't you introduce some really short skirts to your wardrobe? This could open up negotiations.

I'm sure this is because of religion isn't it? I was pentecostal when I was a teenager. Most pentecostal do believe that it is wrong for women to wear shorts, pants, bathing suits. I personally didn't believe this. It was a hard thing to get used to especially at Church camp. I was used to pants and shorts and things, but at camp they wouldn't allow them. That was the hardest week I had to endure in my youth. When the pastor found out that I didn't feel the same as they all did, he politely asked me to leave the Church. I think that everyone should be able to make their own decisions if they are old enough to do so.

I still believe in God though. I always have and always will. But I just never found in the Bible where it states that women aren't supposed to wear pants. I have been teaching Sunday school for almost 12 years now and I still haven't found that rule anywhere.

God Bless and good luck to you.

I'm assuming you mean at a private school, or something of the like. Why don't you bring it to the attention of the school board. I mean...are skirts really appropriate for school anyhow? And what if it was below 0* outside, are you going to where 3 pairs of stockings to keep warm? Personally I think it's rediculous, but I've never had the situation where I have to dress according to a code.

Also let them know it's not 1940 anymore. Women were pants now.

If it is your parents putting this restriction on you, it is best to listen. You will be out on your own soon enough and will be able to wear whatever you want, but why start a fight over an issue your parents apparently hold pretty strongly.
