ok, just read the lyrics. sounds to me like she is singing about a man who it totally beautiful inside and out, however has severe emotional holdings he can't let go of. she wants to be there for him, but in being there, will it bring her down too? sounds also like he's considering hurting himself to rid himself of his pain, and will that make everything ok? probably not.
