That's a good question, in reading your question the only reparteé I could think of is "the only stupid questions, are those that are never asked" So unless someone does not ask a stupid question, how are we to know whether it's a silly question or not?
Have you ever asked yourself how is it that people think of questions be lacking intelligence, when they're just words strung together to form a cohesive statement that asks for more information?
