My daughter is in her second pregnancy. She is four months along. Last night while washing her hair she found a rather large area near the part and crown of her head where there was so much waxy oil in it (after washing) it kind of made her feel ill, she is wondering if being pregnant could cause this because she never had this problem before. Didn't know whether to put this in beauty or health so sorry for posting twice. Any advice?

Today she told me that she still can't get rid of it, it is a patch about the size of a plum and it is almost waxy, her husband washed it with dawn dish soap to get rid of it, lol, now she has it in a bun. Thanks for your opinions everyone, the poor girl is wigging out.

Mention it to her doctor, but I would say don't worry about it. I used to lose hair, and get patches of dry stuff, GROSS! Don't worry!! Congratulations again on being a grandparent
