No. By fielder's choice they mean the fielder chooses where to throw the ball in the first place.

It is considered a triple, with a put out a home. The batter gets his triple (if he reaches 3rd before the runner at home is tagged out...if there are 2 outs). If there are less than 2 outs, then yes it's a triple.

It's only considered a fielder's choice if the batter reaches 1st only. Once the runners pass the next base (in your case, the runner from first touched 2nd and went on to 3rd), it turns into a different ruling (just a put-out).

no. it's not even a triple but a double with the batter advancing to third base on the throw home. the runner is just out at home trying to score.

It is a choice, but the thrower damn sure better try for the out at home.
It's what they are trained to do.

The hitter is going to make it to third anyway.
You stated a triple was hit.
It may depend on the strength of the fielder's arm. Third base coach may make the choice by signs.
