What types of advertising campaigns are most effective on you personally? Cite specific examples.?

I love funny commercials like the Budweiser commercials or the Pepsi commercials but honestly they never triggered me to buy those products. On the other hand, I never buy anything due to commercials anyhow so I would say funny and sexy are the two important factors.

I personally think it would be nice if people would see more in advertising than things that are funny.
In my mind the best adverts have been on TV.
I dont know if you have seen any English adverts but over the years i think the best have been;
Dulux
Brutus
Toshiba
Akai
There have also been some very good lesser ones.
These have effected me because they showed me there is Art in places you would not expect to find it.
I really feel that people should try to look past the joke type adverts and see the Art that i think these contain.
It is quite possible that the music video producers were trying to achieve (And in my mind failing) the type of style and quality that these ads had started earlier.

The rare advertisments that proclaim they are all-natural, or cruelty-free, or pro-enviromental safety usually catch my eye.

Those ASPCA commercials with the neglected pets get to me, too. So do those starving children commercials. And that car insurance commercial where they are just driving along and then BAM! they're wrecked into...Shock value seems to really make it stick.

Ones that are completely original, but not over the top. The classic example is the Wendy's "Where's The Beef" series.
