Hardly. Spiders outnumber us, they've been on this earth a hundred times longer than us, and some spider species' poison is so deadly, they could kill a man with just a hard stare from the spider.
If anything, I'd say spiders must love us, for building all these elaborate nests, stone flytraps with food left on tables to attract the spiders' food, and so many comfy dark, warm spaces to build webs. And that's why they've been so hell bent on invading us this year.
In fact, there's only one thing spiders, especially male spiders, are afraid of ... and that's hungry female spiders.

Not scared as we understand that word but they will by instinct retreat or take evasive action if they sense danger to themselves They do recognise danger which perhaps is the same thing as being scared

certain, the bigger abode spiders actually are, they play useless or attempt to run away in the experience that they see you searching at them, they imagine of you as a predator and themselves because the prey.
